September 2019
By this point in time, I had already begun to feel more confident through the process of portrait photography. I enjoyed the networking opportunities, and to work with plenty of people that all are meeting to for a single collective goal to create some worthwhile projects. In this process, I had signed up for my third photography meetup, and unlike the first two, which were set in what appeared to look like a lush jungle environment, this time we all had met in a nice, three story abode in San Francisco.
Replacing the pool and green foliage were large windows that overlooked the residential homes and park down below, along with plenty of chic modern decor all throughout the home. Plenty of photographers and models, both familiar and new from past meetups gathered, and while I was no longer shy about approaching people to ask to work with them, I still made the effort to contact people ahead of time in order to ensure that when the event would begin, I can at least anticipate who I planned on working with.
Lindsey was one of the first few people to contact me back, and it was great to work with her, as we really wanted to utilize the windows in the kitchen area to really provide a nice dramatic backdrop. Of course, the natural light was a plus, allowing nice backlighting in some shots and complimented the vibrant orange tones from her outfit.
