In the reaches of our lifetime, we can either act or react. The latter is to merely respond to the world around you while the former is giving the world some thing to respond to, in the first place. In our day to day existence, this is definitive of how we want to live our lives. Do we allow ourselves to just go with the flow, or, for metaphorical purposes, do we change the current in our own lives.
Kassandra definitely seems to fall in the “act” component of this analogy. For as long as I’ve known her, she’s been diligent to follow her own path and to do what she knows is right. Recently, she had finished her masters program and I was happy that she had reached out to take her graduation photos.
This session is a little more straightforward than usual but I wanted to pose her in strong, sharp angles, to match her confident personality. She’s looking at the camera to identify with the audience that her attention is immediate and that she’s focusing on the moment right now. Without a doubt, it’s that sort of attitude that I’m assured that she can reach greater heights some day.
