While working on photos throughout the year, I have the fortune of being referred to folks by my friends. Meeting new people is always a treat for me, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness from those in my life that are willing to spread the word outside of our circle.
When Cristina had contacted me through a mutual friend, I knew she had a dynamic personality that would be awesome to translate in photography. She’s charismatic, sweet, and funny, I had a lot to work with in terms of using the space to our full advantage. I really enjoyed how easy it was to get her to laugh, and it provides a lot of energy in the photos we ended up getting.
More importantly she knew what she wanted, which is crucial for these types of settings. Although I will try to employ a lot of the poses I know would work, it also helps that she had a clear vision of how she wanted her photos to look because ultimately these are her photos to celebrate this moment in her life. Those specifics help guide the shoot to ensure that the subject gets the images they want, and so working with Cristina made the experience easy, allowing us to have more fun in flexibly playing with those ideas.
